![]() AGC's 3rd Annual Legislative Day – March 1 AGC will hold its Third Annual Legislative Day on Monday, March 1 and urges key personnel from all member companies to participate. The event will be from 9:30 am to 2:45 pm @ the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City, MO. Lunch will be provided. We have engaged key governmental and legislative leaders to interact with AGC of Missouri members on important governmental and legislative topics including: plans of the MO PSC to lead an effort to revise the Missouri "One Call" Law; reasons the State Unemployment Trust Fund is going broke; how the UC system works and efforts by Missouri business groups to address the problem; an overview of AGC priority bills in the 2010 Session of the Missouri General Assembly; MoDOT reports on future state funding, the eroding "user fee" tax base, revisions of MoDOT’s DBE program, and an update on funding from Washington DC. AGC will also present AGC’s "Legislator of the Year" awards. The day will conclude with the opportunity for AGC members to visit their own State Representative and Senator at the Capitol Building. The AGC of Missouri has reached a recommendation agreement with the Thomas McGee, L.C. to offer "The Contractors Plan", a bona fide benefit plan design for Contractors working under Davis-Bacon guidelines in regards to construction projects. The plan, which is powered by Fringe Benefit Group, a Thomas McGee associate, is designed to offer major medical, dental, vision and life insurance to contractors. A formal presentation of this program as well as an introduction to Fringe Benefit Group will be held on October 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 at the AGC of Missouri offices in Jefferson City. A one-time registration is required. Whether bidding as a prime, subcontractor or supplier, the forms are available at www.ktuconstructors.com, Click on "Subcontracting". After submitting this information, you will be granted access to letting information by using your MODOT vendor information. If you are an e-Plan subscriber, plans and specs will be available there as well.
