Contractor Members Membership Application
A Contractor Member is defined to be an individual, firm, partnership, joint venture or corporation engaged in construction that (a) self performs and/or serves as a construction manager on more than fifty (50) percent of its work as a prime contractor or (b) would be a Specialty Contractor Member but has elected as provided in the Bylaws to become a Contractor Member.  Only contractors who have established a reputation for Skill, Responsibility and Integrity shall be eligible for Contractor Membership in the Association.

Construction Manager Member Membership Application
A Construction Manager is defined to be an individual, firm, partnership, joint venture or corporation engaged in construction that does not self perform any portion of their projects and is a construction manager on 100% of their projects.  Only construction managers who have established a reputation for Skill, Responsibility and Integrity shall be eligible for Construction Manager Membership in the Association.

Joint Ventures Membership Application
A joint venture is defined to be a business entity or joint undertaking created by two or more parties to perform a particular job.  When such a joint venture is established to perform a particular construction project, and all parties of the joint venture are Contractor Members of the Association, such a joint venture may be listed by them as a Contractor Member of the Association, and receive services as such, without payment of additional dues provided that each party includes its share of the joint venture in such party’s business volume for dues purposes.  Such a joint venture shall have no vote as a Contractor Member.  In the event one or more parties to a joint venture is not a Contractor Member of this Association, such joint venture shall not be entitled to services by the Association unless it secures a separate Membership under the appropriate dues structure for individual Membership. 

Visiting Members Membership Application
A Visiting Member is defined to be any individual, firm, partnership, contractor, construction manager, joint venture or corporation that is qualified for Contractor Membership in this Association, whose principal and customary place of business is located other than within the territorial jurisdiction of this Association but who is performing construction work within this territory.  Such Contractor shall cease to be considered a Visiting Member if the performance of its work in said territory extends beyond one year, or if additional local work is obtained or a branch office is opened.  In such event such contractor must then become a Contractor Member of the Association.  Visiting Members shall have all the rights and privileges of a Contractor Member of the Association excepting that they and their representatives shall have no right to hold office in the Association and shall have no vote or interest in the assets of the Association. 

Provisional Member Membership Application
A Provisional Member is defined to be an individual, firm, partnership, joint venture or corporation that meets the definition to be a Contractor Member or a Construction Manager Member and will be a new member to the AGC of Missouri and also qualifies for membership under the guidelines of Provisional Membership with the AGC of America. 

Specialty Contractor Members Membership Application
A Specialty Contractor Member is defined to be any individual, firm, partnership, joint venture, or corporation engaged in construction, that performs more than twenty five percent (25%) of its work as a subcontractor and performs less than fifty percent (50%) of its work as a prime contractor, and who has established a reputation for Skill, Responsibility and Integrity. Specialty Contractor Members may refer to themselves only as “Specialty Contractor Members of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri.”

Supplier/Service Provider Members Membership Application
A Supplier / Service Provider Member is defined to be an individual, firm, partnership, joint venture or corporation (a) engaged in business primarily as a supplier or a manufacturer of construction materials, or that primarily provides supplies, insurance, bonds, or equipment or other property used in connection with the construction industry; or (b) that is engaged in rendering a service to the construction industry or deriving a benefit therefrom.  Any firm that has common ownership with or controls or is controlled by another firm that is qualified to be a Contractor Member of the Association shall not be eligible for Supplier / Service Provider Membership in the Association; nor shall any firm that performs more than twenty five percent (25%) of its work as a subcontractor be eligible; nor shall labor organizations, or representatives thereof be eligible.  Supplier / Service Provider Members may refer to themselves only as “Supplier / Service Provider Members of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri.” 

Industry Partner Member Membership Application
An Industry Partner Member is defined as any individual or company that performs primarily as an Owners Representative, Program Manager or Developer.  Any firm that has ownership with, or controls, or is controlled by another firm that is qualified to be a Contractor member or Specialty Contractor Member of the Association shall not be eligible to be an Industry Partner Member. Industry Partner Members shall be authorized to receive communications, attend meetings and functions and serve on committees as designated by the Board of Directors. Industry Partner Members may not serve on the Board of Directors and shall have no right to vote.  

Individual Member Membership Application
An Individual Member is defined to be an individual with a dedicated interest in the construction industry including a governmental official, public agency official, educator or student.  Any individual that has ownership of, or controls, or is employed by a firm that is qualified to be a Contractor member or Specialty Contractor Member of the Association shall not be eligible for Individual Membership in the Association; nor shall labor organizations or representatives thereof be eligible.  Individual Members shall be authorized to receive communications and attend meetings and functions as designated by the Board of Directors.  Individual Members may not serve on committees, the board of directors or participate in the affairs of the AGC of America.  Individual Membership is not transferable and shall have no right to vote.  

Emerging Contractor / Construction Manager Members Membership Application
An Emerging Contractor or Construction Manager Member is a firm meeting the definition of Contractor Membership as defined in Section 8.01 and that also satisfies each of the following criteria:  (a) Maximum annual construction volume not exceeding an amount determined by the Board of Directors; (b) The firm must sign a letter of agreement for a three year term pledging that after the three years or when the firm’s volume exceeds an amount determined by the Board of Directors in a calendar year, whichever comes first, the firm will become a Contractor member (upon approval by the Board of Directors) of the AGC of Missouri and AGC of America and pay applicable dues; (c)  A firm that is a current Contractor Member or that has been a Contractor Member within the previous two years is not eligible for Emerging Contractor membership. An Emerging Contractor Member shall receive the same services and rights as a Contractor Member except its representatives may not serve on the AGC Board of Directors, become an officer of the Association, or participate in activities and programs of the AGC of America.

Emerging Specialty Contractor Members Membership Application
An Emerging Specialty Contractor Member is a firm meeting the definition of Specialty Contractor Membership as defined in Section 8.02 and that also satisfies each of the following criteria:  (a) Maximum annual construction volume not exceeding an amount determined by the Board of Directors per year;  (b) The firm must sign a letter of agreement for a three year-term pledging that after the three years or when the firm’s volume exceeds an amount determined by the Board of Directors in a calendar year, whichever comes first, the firm will become a Specialty Contractor Member (upon approval by the Board of Directors) of the AGC of Missouri and AGC of America and pay applicable dues; (c) A firm that is a current Specialty Contractor Member or that has been a Specialty Contractor Member within the previous two years is not eligible for Emerging Specialty Contractor membership. An Emerging Specialty Contractor Member shall receive the same services and rights as a Specialty Contractor Member of the Association excepting that its representatives may not serve on the AGC Board of Directors or participate in the affairs of the AGC of America.

Emerging Supplier/Service Provider Members Membership Application
An Emerging Supplier/Service Provider Member is a firm meeting the definition of Supplier/Service Provider Membership as defined in Section 8.03 and that also satisfies each of the following criteria:  (a) Maximum annual sales not exceeding an amount determined by the Board of Directors per calendar year;  (b) The firm must sign a letter of agreement for a three year term pledging that after the three years or when the firm’s sales exceed an amount determined by the Board of Directors  in a calendar year, whichever comes first, the firm will become a Supplier/Service Provider Member (upon approval by  the Board of Directors) of the AGC of Missouri and AGC of America and pay applicable dues;  (c) A firm that is a current Supplier/Service Provider Member or that has been a Supplier/Service Provider Member within the previous two years is not eligible for Emerging Supplier/Service Provider Membership. An Emerging Supplier/Service Provider Member shall receive the same services and rights as a Supplier/Service Provider Member except that its representatives may not serve on the AGC Board of Directors or participate in the affairs of the AGC of America.
