Networking
There are literally dozens of opportunities to network within the AGC of Missouri. Many of our members say that effective networking is the number one advantage of their membership.
For example, a general contractor can meet subcontractors, vendors and professional service providers at committee meetings, educational programs, civic and social functions, and many other AGC of Missouri events. Your membership also gives you access to a national network of companies which are similar to yours with whom you can exchange ideas and discuss problems and solutions. The AGC of Missouri offers you the perfect environment in which to build new business relationships and strengthen existing ones.
Industry Support
Keeping the commercial construction industry, transportation system, and infrastructure development vibrant and healthy are top priorities of the AGC of Missouri. We participate in many efforts and activities to support every aspect of our industry.
We influence legislative action on the local and state levels, while the AGC of America and the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) are active at the national level. We support candidates for local and state offices through our Political Action Committee. We help advance certain legal issues which will have a significant impact on our industry. And we market the value of AGC membership to construction owners, architects and engineers, elected officials, state and local agencies, and the general business community.
We are a Member Driven Organization
Our members determine the direction of the association through the committees they serve on and by the programs, policies and priorities that the committees recommend to our Board of Directors. The Board is composed entirely of members. The staff of the AGC of Missouri implement the decisions made by the membership and Board of Directors.
