Confined Space Competent Person Entry Training

In 2015 OSHA revised the Confined Space Standard for construction work. The new standard, §Subpart AA of 29 CFR §1926, sets requirements for practices and procedures to protect employees engaged in construction activities at a worksite with one  or more confined spaces. However, the standards do not apply to construction work regulated elsewhere in §Part 1926 for excavations, underground construction, and diving operations.

This course is designed to increase the knowledge of personnel that work in or around Confined Spaces and cover the key issues surrounding the new confined space rule, including: key differences between old and new rules, why the standard is needed, who the standard applies to, the difference between permit-required confined spaces (PRCS) and non-permit-required confined spaces (NPRCS), and general industry vs construction standards. Employers are required to provide training in a language and vocabulary that the employee understands, OSHA's training requirements.

Upon successful completion, participants will be issued an AGCMO completion card.
