Medical Marijuana in the Workplace

Medical Marijuana in the Workplace
February 5, 2019
Ameristar Casino & Resort (Discovery Ballroom), St. Charles

On June 29th, 2019 the new Medical Marijuana law takes effect in Missouri. While this new law may be employer friendly, it still has many unanswered questions. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will issue medical marijuana cards later in the year, but that doesn’t mean you should wait to see how this law is going to impact your business. Medical marijuana testing hasn’t kept up with the laws, so are you prepared to identify if someone is under the influence? You won’t want to miss this workshop.

This working session will inform you:

  • How contractors policies, collective bargaining agreements and craft-based drug testing policies should define what “under the influence” means.
  • How can you reasonably accommodate employees for whom medical marijuana has been prescribed under the ADA/MHRA.
  • How company-specific issues involved, collective bargaining agreements and craft-based drug testing policies will impact your company.

This panel will have companies who understand the new law and AGC of Missouri members who are currently dealing with this issue in other states.

This workshop is for members only and will be one you don’t want to miss.
