Do you dread difficult conversations? Do you hate giving or receiving performance appraisals? Does facing a tough interaction with a client or trade partner make you cringe? If so, you’re not alone!
Making Difficult Conversations Easier will better prepare you for and help you successfully complete almost any difficult conversation! Attendees will hear about what makes a conversation difficult, learn the pre-work we all need to undertake before starting a difficult conversation and participate in some practice sessions. By the end of the session, you’ll acquire some new negotiation techniques to move projects and even people forward in productive ways.
This session will be presented by SIUE Associate Professor Mary Sue Love. Love teaches "soft skills" to business majors along with organizational behavior, leadership and negotiation.
