Topic: Missouri's Prevailing Wage Statute: Update on the Issue of Legislative Efforts to Change or Repeal
Speaker: Leonard Toenjes, President, AGC of Missouri
In 2017 the Missouri House of Representatives passed a bill repealing the prevailing wage statutes. That bill stalled in the Senate though the desire for reform - if not total repeal - still exists amongst members of the legislature. The next legislative session begins January 3 and already multiple bills have been filed, both for reform and repeal. There are many perspectives to this politically charged issue and changes to Missouri's statute could significantly impact the construction industry. Join us to hear the latest on conversations, discussions and insight gained between legislative sessions.
