Thank You to Our Volunteers

It takes hundreds of volunteers to propel AGCMO and our industry forward.  Each member’s contribution is important and plays an essential role in making our association successful.  We asked AGCMO staff to highlight just a few of the key volunteers they’ve seen in action, benefitting AGCMO, their companies and the overall industry.  We thank all of our members who donate their time, effort and resources that make AGCMO the vibrant and leading construction industry association that we are.

Don Ardolino
Executive Vice President
J. D. Kutter

Bringing knowledge to our policy positions.

Don’s been a longstanding member of AGCMO of nearly 25 years.  His knowledge of the insurance industry makes him a significant resource, particularly in his role on the Governmental Affairs Policy Committee.  Don also serves on the PAC Committee and has been a member of both groups since 2005.  Don enjoys political strategy, rarely misses a meeting and has been a great AGCMO representative at a number of political fundraisers.

Jennifer Bardot
AVP, Business Banking Specialist
Enterprise Bank & Trust

Always making new connections.

Jennifer became a tremendous volunteer right after she became connected to the company’s membership a couple of years ago.   She supports the Supplier/Service Provider Council, always offering resources to others and is an active member of the Membership Policy Committee where she helps other members get better connected.  She’s also a great cheerleader to non-members in her sphere of influence and has successfully recruited two new members to our association family.  When in-person events get back to normal, Jennifer will be right there making and improving connections.

Amanda Bohnert
Chief Marketing Officer
S. M. Wilson & Co.

A “Go-To” getting it done.

Those who know Amanda know she is somewhat quiet and unassuming.  But don’t let that calm demeanor fool you – this woman gets it done!  In her role at the helm of SMW’s marketing department, she is responsible for public relations, strategic planning, communications and proposal writing.  Prior to the merger, Amanda served on the AGC of St. Louis’ Public Relations Committee; now she engages in AGCMO activities in a variety of behind-the-scenes ways.  She’s the primary author/coordinator of SMW’s Keystone Award submissions and is often responsible for guest authoring pieces in AGCMO’s BuildMO newsletter.  Amanda is an important “go-to” person for AGCMO staff even when the topic isn’t within her departmental purview.

Steve Bubanovich
H. R. Quadri Contractors, LLC

Encouraging our members to “have a voice.”

An AGCMO member since 2012, Steve is dedicated to the construction industry.  He has served on the Governmental Affairs Policy Committee since 2015 and is now Chair of the Heavy / Highway / Infrastructure Division Board and on the AGCMO’s Executive Committee.  But that’s not the half of it.  Steve has taken it as a personal challenge to grow participation in our Contractors Speak Up grassroots effort (some of you already know this because you’ve received calls encouraging you and your staff to participate).  He has dedicated himself to participating in nearly every one of these opportunities for the last two years, making his face quite familiar in the halls of the Capitol.  Steve also is heavily engaged in AGCMO’s partnership with Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.

Roslyn Croft
Diversity Coordinator
Tarlton Corporation

Making our association better and moving us forward.

Roslyn Croft has spent many volunteer hours as a member of the AGCMO Diversity and Inclusion Committee along with other events and committees.  She has been participating at networking and social events, awards ceremonies, committee meetings, forums, and providing great perspectives and insights for almost 10 years.  Her active participation in AGCMO has made our association better and helped move us forward.  Roslyn’s enthusiasm and great smile is infectious, welcoming an array of talented professionals to our industry.

Steve Faust
Business Development/Diversity Coordinator
icon Mechanical Construction & Engineering, LLC

Always willing to help out.

You’ve probably seen Steve at one of many AGCMO events. Is there anyone Steve doesn’t know?  He’s no stranger to the construction industry and his friendly personality and smile (he’s always smiling!) makes him stick out in the crowd. Steve has been engaged with AGCMO for years and his professional experience is valued by so many. From assisting with Keystone Awards to planning our PAC Sporting Clays Tournaments, he is truly the “Jack of all Trades.” Our programs and events wouldn’t be what they are if it weren’t for him. We look to him for expertise and we truly appreciate all of the countless hours he’s committed to support AGCMO membership.

Collin Greene
Project Manager
Wright Construction Services, Inc.

Increasing accountability while also having fun.

As chair of the Construction Leadership Council, Collin has worked to increase accountability and fun for the CLC Steering Committee.  At the same time, he’s worked through the pandemic to engage all CLC members and helped fellow members grow as young leaders.  Collin attends council meetings and events regularly and participates as an ex-officio member of the Building Division Board and the AGCMO Board of Directors.  He also serves on the Governmental Affairs Policy Committee.

Kevin Mills
Owner
AAA Concrete Pumping

Bringing on new/fun ideas for members and students.

Kevin Mills is a very new AGCMO member, but that hasn’t stopped him from getting involved and lending a helping hand. Once his membership was approved, Kevin started brainstorming with AGCMO staff to create a brand-new fun membership event. The BBQ/Corn Hole Tournament in southwest Missouri is now scheduled for July 29th – make sure you get it on your calendar!

Kevin was also quick to respond when a request for equipment went out for the very first “Touch A Truck” event in southwest MO – Kevin and his crew will be there with a concrete pumping truck, ready to educate elementary school aged students about careers in the construction industry.

Linda Moen
President
EFK Moen, LLC

Impactful and on-point recommendations.

An AGC member since 2013, Linda is engaged in a variety of endeavors.  She currently serves on the Heavy / Highway / Infrastructure Division Board, the Construction Alliance and as a former judge for the Keystone Awards, she sits on the Keystone Task Force.  In her role at the helm of her civil engineering design firm, she’s engaged in M/WBE issues and transportation infrastructure.  Linda has been an outspoken supporter of AGCMO’s engagement on transportation initiatives.  Whenever constructive input or thoughtful decisions and insights are needed, she has been there to help make these activities impactful and on-point.

Chris Nisbet
Project Director
McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.

Leading CTAF and upping our approach to distance learning.

Chris Nisbet started his 7th year as a trustee on the Construction Training and Advancement Foundation (CTAF) at the beginning of 2021.  He has served as the chairman of the trustees for the last two years, (2019 and 2020) and has been instrumental in helping guide CTAF.  During this time, he helped manage the completion of the merger with the Missouri Construction Industry Advancement Fund as a completion of the AGC of St. Louis and AGC of Missouri merger and also worked with staff to complete the needed upgrades to the Construction Training School facility for improved safety and technology.  Technology improvements were implemented to allow for more effective distance learning and meeting facilities.

Dan Pimmel
Director of Financial Reporting
Nooter Construction Co.

Helping make Glow Ball a success and supporting scholarships.

Dan Pimmel with Nooter Construction/CIC Group recently completed his third year on the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Steering Committee.  His active participation helped the group make progress in various ways.  He was the event chair for the CLC’s Glow Ball Night Golf Tournament the last two years where he helped negotiate a new facility contract and assisted with lots of the pre-event planning.  His commitment to help find teams and all the additional “little things” made a huge difference.  Lastly, Dan took time in 2020 to judge the AGCMO Education Foundation’s scholarship program and found the experience to be very enlightening.

Colby Robertson
CEO-President
Robertson Contractors, Inc.

Proving people are our industry’s most valuable asset.

Providing workforce contractor training for our Southeast Missouri communities is a robust goal of AGCMO and our local members.  Colby has been a strong volunteer force in developing construction training with Three Rivers College and AGCMO providing financial support, use of tools, equipment, and job visits for the NCCER class. His firm has hired numerous graduates and assisted other students in finding a career in the industry.   It’s members like Colby that make working in this industry a joy.

Don Rosenbarger
Business Development
Delta Companies Inc.

A keen eye towards future workforce needs.

Don Rosenbarger served as Chair of the Heavy / Highway / Infrastructure Division Board during 2019 and 2020.  He has an unmatched desire and passion for recruiting and developing a more robust workforce for the industry.

Don was the catalyst for the creation of the HHI Workforce Development Committee.  What started as a small group of dedicated workforce professionals has now grown into a much larger and active group that is making a difference.  Don and his committee are working on a number of projects including a “Build My Future” event for high school aged students in southeast Missouri scheduled for the fall of 2021.  He has also worked with members of the committee to craft social media messages that promote careers in the construction industry.

Don, and his employer Delta Companies Inc., was one of the founding members of an Advisory Committee that formed a partnership between AGCMO and Three Rivers Community College to develop and provide a six-week NCCER Introduction to Highway Construction class.  In its first year, two classes were completed (even during the pandemic) producing over 20 graduates from the NCCER course; all were hired into the construction workforce.

Don has contributed countless volunteer hours to support the membership of the AGCMO.

Joe Sneed
Vice President
Spiegelglass Construction Company

Making membership count for every member.

As chair of the Membership Policy Committee, Joe leads by example.  He actively recruits new members, mentoring them and any of their employees who ask for advice.  He attends many of AGCMO’s major events and encourages others to do the same.  He provides insight as needed on various issues and recently volunteered to be on the Building Division’s task force for a “Best Practices” document to assist public entities with their vertical building projects.  Joe’s engagement and enthusiasm for AGC of Missouri is evident within the first minutes of a conversation.

Sean Thouvenot
Vice President
Branco Enterprises, Inc.

Leading with energy and great ideas.

Many of you know Sean – he is heavily engaged with AGCMO and currently serves as the Chairman-Elect of the Board of Directors; Sean’s also been a member of the Governmental Affairs Policy Committee since 2015.  Sean rarely misses a meeting or event and always stands ready to take a few extra minutes to answer a question, give an opinion or volunteer to help with the next endeavor.  He brings energy and great ideas to any effort he’s engaged in.  His smile and distinctive radio voice ensures that whatever the project he’s helping with – you’re going to enjoy it.  And once you meet Sean, you’ll never forget him!
