Contractor Members
Only contractors who have established a reputation for Skill, Responsibility and Integrity shall be eligible for Contractor Membership in the Association.  A Contractor Member is an individual, firm, partnership, joint venture or corporation engaged in construction that:

(a) self performs and/or serves as a construction manager on more than fifty (50) percent of its work as a prime contractor; or (b) would be a Specialty Contractor Member but has elected to become a Contractor Member.

Contractor Members are eligible for all local benefits/services.  Contractor Members also benefit from affiliated memberships with the Associated General Contractors of America and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (for highway related contractors).

There are two initial options for Contractor Membership:

Provisional Contractor Members (First Three Years)
This classification is for new members.  A Provisional Member is an individual, firm, partnership, joint venture or corporation that meets the definition of a Contractor Member of the AGC of Missouri.  Membership will convert to Contractor Member status after three years.

Provisional Contractor Dues:  Provisional dues of $1,290 are paid upon joining to cover the first 12 months.  Dues will then be based on our Volume Dues Report/Worksheet (to be submitted upon joining and in the fall each year).  Since dues are invoiced annually, an invoice will be sent to cover the prorated portion of dues in the second calendar year.  Years two and three will also be discounted/prorated as outlined.

Emerging Contractor Members
This classification is for smaller companies. An Emerging Contractor Member must meet the definition of a Contractor Member of the AGC of Missouri and satisfy each of the following criteria:

(a) Maximum annual construction volume not exceeding the $750,000 threshold currently established by the AGC of Missouri Board of Directors;
(b) The firm must sign a letter of agreement for a three year term pledging that after the earlier of three years or when the firm’s volume exceeds the $750,000 work volume threshold in a calendar year, the firm will pay applicable volume dues and become a Contractor Member.

A firm that is a current Contractor Member or that has been a Contractor Member within the previous two years is not eligible for Emerging Contractor membership. An Emerging Contractor Member shall receive the same local/national services as a Contractor Member. However, its representatives may not serve on the AGC of Missouri Board of Directors or become an officer of the Association.

Emerging Contractor Dues: Dues are currently $410 upon joining, but prorated quarterly in the first year.  Dues for the first five years will remain discounted on a sliding scale unless Work Volume exceeds the $750,000 threshold currently established by the AGC of Missouri Board of Directors.  Prior to invoicing, a Volume Dues Report/Worksheet will need to be submitted in the fall each year to determine actual dues in year two and beyond.
