Specialty Contractor Members
Only Specialty Contractors who have established a reputation for Skill, Responsibility and Integrity shall be eligible for membership in the Association. A Specialty Contractor Member is any individual, firm, partnership, joint venture, or corporation engaged in construction, that performs more than twenty five percent (25%) of its work as a subcontractor and performs less than fifty percent (50%) of its work as a prime contractor.

Specialty Contractor Members are eligible for all local and national benefits/services.

Specialty Contractor Dues: Volume Dues (based on the previous year’s work volume numbers) are paid upon joining, but prorated quarterly in the first calendar year.  Dues for the next calendar year and beyond will be invoiced based on our annual Volume Dues Report/Worksheet (to be submitted in the fall each year).

Emerging Specialty Contractor Members
This classification is for smaller companies. An Emerging Specialty Contractor Member must meet the definition of a Specialty Contractor Member of the AGC of Missouri and satisfy each of the following criteria:

(a) Maximum annual construction work volume not exceeding the $500,000 work volume threshold currently established by the AGC of Missouri Board of Directors;
(b) The firm must sign a letter of agreement for a five year term pledging that after the earlier of five years or when the firm’s work volume exceeds the $500,000 threshold in a calendar year, the firm will pay applicable volume dues and become a Specialty Contractor Member.

A firm that is a current Specialty Contractor Member or that has been a Specialty Contractor Member within the previous two years is not eligible for Emerging Specialty Contractor membership. An Emerging Specialty Contractor Member shall receive the same local/national services as a Specialty Contractor Member. However, its representatives may not serve on the AGC of Missouri Board of Directors or become an officer of the Association.

Emerging Specialty Contractor Dues: Dues for 2024 are currently $303 upon joining, but prorated quarterly in the first calendar year. Dues for the first five years will remain discounted on a sliding scale unless Work Volume exceeds the $500,000 threshold currently established by the AGC of Missouri Board of Directors. Prior to invoicing, a Volume Dues Report/Worksheet will need to be submitted in the fall each year to determine actual dues in year two and beyond.
