11:45AM-12:00PM - Ride streetcar to Berkley Riverfront and walk to Port KC office (110 Berkley Plaza, Kansas City, MO 64120)
12:00PM-12:20PM - Intro and Berley project presentation from Chase Johnson, Port KC Director of Development
12:25PM-1:10PM - Current Landing walking tour (short walk from Port KC office)
1:15PM-1:45PM - KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension route and canopy walking tour with Tom Gerend, KC Streetcar Authority Executive Director (short walk from Current Landing)
1:50PM-2:35PM - CORE II walking tour (right next to streetcar extension)
2:40PM-3:10PM - Ride streetcar back to Tractics and drive cars to J. Rieger & Co. for distillery tour (2700 Guinotte Ave., Kansas City, MO 64120)
3:30PM-4:30PM - J. Rieger & Co. distillery tour
4:30PM-Official end, but feel free to stay for dinner or other fun in KC.
Additional information:
-Berkley Riverfront development is a 1+ Billion-dollar development in Kansas City. With everything else involved in this development, it is looking more like a 2 Billion-dollar development.
-1st Phase is under construction, with 2nd Phase starting soon. The women's soccer stadium (first women's stadium in the world) is completed.
Hotel Recommendation: Hotel Phillips
- $182 total ($140 + $42 parking)
-Really cool, old downtown hotel, but affordable
-One block from a streetcar stop
